Installation

Openfiler cannot find installation disk

I'm trying to install Openfiler but it's complaining about not being able to find a disk to install on to

It is very likely that your disk controller hardware is not supported by the default kernel. You can either ask the community for support via the mailing lists or subscribe to the Openfiler Subscription where driver disks and extra driver module packages are provided as part of the service.

Is it possible to upgrade from 1.1 to 2.1/2.2/2.3?

I have Openfiler 1.1 installed and want to upgrade to Openfiler 2.1/2.2/2.3 - is this possible?

Unfortunately Openfiler 1.1 and the 2.2 track are based on different Linux OS distributions, therefore there is no direct upgrade path. You will need to back-up all your data and re-install the newer version.
